Electronic Invoicing- PEPPOL

Since January 1, 2024, a favorable tax measure has been implemented regarding the costs associated with the obligation to transition to electronic invoicing via the PEPPOL network by 2026.

To mitigate the direct costs associated with an invoicing program enabling the issuance, transmission, and receipt of structured electronic invoices, a tax deduction increased by 120% is granted to small companies and sole proprietorships (size criteria defined by the National Bank of Belgium).

Not considered eligible expenses for this increased tax deduction of 120% are the depreciations of the new invoicing program.

To benefit from this deduction, expenses must be incurred between 2024 and 2028.
